Thi-Thuy-Nga Nguyen PhD student at LAAS-CNRS

Welcome

I am currently a data scientist at Torus Actions SAS.
My research position – Torus Actions SAS, Toulouse, France.

Address
Torus Actions
Equipe: SkinAI
3 Avenue Didier Daurat, 31400 Toulouse

I graduated from the Hanoi National University of Education (Hanoi, Vietnam) in 2014 and then I got a three-year contract at Institute of Mathematic, Vietnam  academy of science and technology (VAST) as a junior researcher from 2014-2017.

From the support of Institute of Mathematics, VAST  I got a two-year scholarship from International Centre for Mathematics and Computer Science in Toulouse (CIMI) to study Applied Mathematics Master at Paul Sabatier University in 2015-2017.

I did my PhD at LAAS-CNRS in computer science and appied mathematics, in SARA team starting from October 2017. My supervisors are Balakrishna Prabhu and Olivier BRUN. I got my PhD degree in November 2020. My PhD is funded by Continental Digital Services in France (CDSF).

I am a co-founder of Torus Actions SAS which is a start-up company established in March 2019. Our objective is providing tools, algorithms and innovative systems for life.

Awards
  • 2019: Best paper award of ASMTA 2019 conference for the paper “An algorithm for improved proportional fairness of vehicular users”.
  • 2015-2017: Master Scholarship, CIMI, Toulouse, France.
  • 2014 and 2013:  Award for excellent mathematical students, National Program for the development of mathematics.
  • 2010:  Top 1 of the entrance exam to Faculty of Mathematics of HNUE.
Research Interests

During my thesis, I study Stochastic Modeling, Convex Optimization, Reinforcement Learning and Deep Learning for scheduling for moving-user systems.
I also interested in Computer Vison and its applications for healthcare.
